User accounts, user roles, and permissions
A user account is created for each Spotilla user. The user account is associated with either a mobile license and / or a manager license.
In Spotilla, user IDs are used to log in to the management portal, ie the browser user interface. Manager users are usually the supervisors of the organization as well as people who use Spotilla more extensively or need reports about Spotilla, for example.
With mobile user IDs, user logs in to Spotilla mobile applications on both Android and iOS devices. Mobile users are usually users who work at least "in the field", such as service technicians who repair equipment.
Mobile user IDs and manager user IDs are separate, ie you cannot log in to both with the same IDs. However, you can set the same password for both IDs.
Manager and mobile users can view content and perform actions based on which user roles they are assigned to.
USER ROLES
User roles has two meanings:
1) gives the user the right to see the content and
2) placing the person in a responsible role in performing the tasks.
The role acts as a responsible person in tasks and / or service requests
- This choice means that the role can be selected to be responsible for tasks or service request types, for example. If this option is disabled, the role cannot be selected as responsible for tasks or service request types.
- It makes sense to separate responsibility roles from legal roles if the organization has many different legal and responsibility roles.
Folder rights
- This right gives the mobile role the right to see and / or edit devices. The right contains basic information about the devices (device card)
- "Tag Read Only" allows the user to view folders / spots attached to a tag only in connection with a tag read transaction. Thus, a user with such a role cannot browse, for example, a folder tree or search for other devices.
Messages and reservations
- This right gives the mobile role the right to view and edit device / item reservations
Rights of Attachments
- This right gives the mobile role the right to see the attachments of the devices
Defining a manager user role
-> User roles -> "+ Create new manager user role"
The role functions as a responsible for tasks and / or service requests
- This choice means that the role can be selected to be responsible for tasks or service request types, for example. If this option is disabled, the role cannot be selected as responsible for tasks or service request types.
- It makes sense to separate responsibility roles from legal roles if the organization has many different legal and responsibility roles.
Resourcing
You can assign working days and daily working hours to the role for resourcing. The resourcing feature can be utilized in pre-task planning.
Reservations sites
- This gives the user in the manager role the rights to the reservations sites (customers, projects)
Reservations costs
- This entitles the user in the manager role to the reservations costs that are assigned to the devices
Folder rights
- This right gives the person in the manager role the right to see and / or modify devices. The right contains all information and actions related to the devices in the management portal. In general, the "Destroying" right is worth omitting.
Warehouse
-this right gives the manager role the right to see and / or edit stocks
(this only applies to customers with the Warehouse module enabled)
Products
-this right gives the manager role the right to see and / or modify the warehouse products (this only applies to customers who have the Warehouse module enabled)
Product categories
-this right gives the manager role the right to view and / or edit product categories (this only applies to customers who have the Inventory module enabled)
The company administrator creates the necessary user roles when deploying the service.
Roles can be edited and added later.
Administrator IDs are primarily intended for making edits to a customer's environment. Administrator IDs have full access to all content, but administrator IDs, cannot be assigned to responsible tasks.
